Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I make a larger pot of loose-leaf tea and keep it warm?
Yes. The 1.8 L kettle includes a lid-mounted infuser and automatically warms water or tea for up to 60 minutes after boiling, provided the kettle stays on its base.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I brew a larger pot without choosing a digital temperature?
Yes. This model uses a simple boil switch and an included infuser. The warming stage follows boiling; it does not require a selectable-temperature menu.
Explore this need in the finder →Can it select 80 °C and hold that exact setting?
No selectable 80 °C control is documented. Its warming feature follows a boil and should not be confused with selected-temperature holding.

The RJ11-18-TI-KW makes sense when you want to brew a shared pot of tea directly in the kettle and leave it warm on the counter. It combines a 1.8-liter capacity, an included tea infuser and automatic warming for up to an hour after boiling. You use a simple power switch rather than choosing a temperature from a digital menu.
Its important limit is how that warmth is maintained. Lifting the kettle off the powered base turns the keep-warm function off. The feature is useful while the kettle stays in place; it is not an uninterrupted warming promise across repeated trips to the table. Nor does the kettle provide a selectable low-temperature brewing target.
Separate a large batch from a large number of cups
The nominal 1.8 L maximum offers more room than the smaller 1 L and 1.2 L infuser models. That can suit a shared teapot routine or a larger round of drinks. Measure the quantity your actual vessels need rather than relying on a fixed cup count that may not match them.
The guide tells you to keep water between the MIN and MAX marks. Follow the marks on this particular kettle. A large maximum does not establish permission to heat a tiny quantity, and the numeric minimum should not be copied from a different Chefman model just because the two look alike.
What the warming feature does
The documented cycle first brings water to a boil. The indicator ring changes from red to green when the kettle enters Keep Warm mode. Chefman says that water or tea can remain hot for up to one hour. The guide does not give a numeric holding target, so this is best understood as automatic warming rather than a promise to maintain your own chosen temperature.
That distinction matters if your tea instructions call for a particular below-boiling setting. This model has no temperature-selection menu. If choosing and holding a specific target is part of your normal routine, compare an adjustable model with a clearly documented combination of those functions.
Use the infuser in the intended sequence
The included infuser attaches beneath the removable lid. The operating directions have you remove it, heat the water with the lid in place, and prepare the tea separately while the water heats. After boiling, you carefully attach the tea-filled infuser and insert it for steeping. This separates heating the water from timing contact with the leaves.
Remove the infuser when your intended steep is complete. Keeping tea warm and leaving leaves in water are different decisions; the warming cycle is not a brew-strength controller. Follow the tea’s own instructions for leaf quantity and steeping rather than treating one generic recipe as right for every tea.
The infuser and spout filter have different jobs
The tea basket holds the leaves for brewing. A separate filter sits at the serving spout. The guide specifically says not to remove that spout filter for cleaning. It is therefore worth distinguishing these parts before you buy replacement accessories or begin washing the kettle.
You can also use the kettle for plain hot water by leaving out the tea and infuser. That makes it practical when one person wants tea and another needs hot water for a different drink. Rinsing after tea remains worthwhile before the next plain-water cycle.
Cleaning is part of the tea routine
Allow the appliance to cool and unplug it before cleaning. The guide calls for hand washing the infuser and says that it is not dishwasher safe. The kettle and base must not be immersed or put in a dishwasher. Wipe the exterior and follow the exact guide for cleaning the inside and managing mineral deposits.
Tea residue can stain the interior, especially when reheated. Chefman advises rinsing between brews and avoiding repeated reheating of the same pot. The removable lid and basket give access, but an in-kettle brewing method still asks more of your cleanup routine than using the kettle only for water.
Who should shortlist it?
Choose the RJ11-18-TI-KW for a larger infuser-equipped kettle with a straightforward boil-and-warm cycle. A smaller infuser model may be enough for modest batches. An adjustable kettle is a better direction when exact target selection matters, while a dedicated serving arrangement may suit you better if you frequently lift and return the jug and expect warming to continue automatically.
