RJ11-18-CTI-V3Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

Tea drinkers who want a larger jug, a visible temperature during heating and an included infuser rather than a simple boil switch.

The main tradeoff

The guide does not clearly enumerate every selectable target; confirm a recipe-critical setting, and remember that lifting cancels automatic warming.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I see the water temperature in Celsius while heating?

Yes. The guide says the current water temperature appears during heating and gives a Fahrenheit/Celsius switching control.

Is there a larger infuser kettle with automatic warming?

Yes. The 1.8 L CTI-V3 includes an infuser, and the maker describes up to one hour of warming. Lifting it from the base cancels that function.

Can I assume every temperature between its tea suggestions is selectable?

No. The guide shows recommended brewing temperatures but does not unambiguously enumerate every offered setting or increment. Confirm an exact recipe-critical target on the supplied unit.

A digital step up for a larger tea routine

The RJ11-18-CTI-V3 adds useful controls to a larger infuser kettle: a temperature-selection button, a dedicated Boil button and a screen showing the current water temperature during heating. Its 1.8-liter capacity and removable tea basket suit a shared pot, while the lift-out lid keeps filling and basket access straightforward.

It is a more relevant choice than a simple boil-switch model when seeing the heating progress and choosing an offered temperature matter. The important purchasing check is the exact target you need: the guide does not clearly enumerate every available setting or increment. Confirm a recipe-critical setting rather than assuming an unrestricted temperature range.

Selection and live measurement serve different purposes

SET TEMP cycles through the available choices, while BOIL jumps to the documented 212 °F setting. Press START/STOP after selecting the desired target. During heating, the display shows the current water temperature, so it is more informative than a ring that merely changes color.

You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius by holding SET TEMP for three seconds. That helps if your recipes use a particular unit. It does not establish measured temperature accuracy or promise that every whole-degree target is available. The guide’s brewing table gives recommendations; recommendations should not be mistaken for a fully specified control menu.

Understand warming before you start serving

Chefman’s exact product page describes holding the reached temperature for up to an hour. The guide confirms automatic warming after boiling and says that lifting the kettle from its base turns the function off. Plan on keeping the jug in its heating position if you want that warming interval.

The distinction matters for a household that repeatedly carries the kettle to the table. Do not assume the original warming session continues unchanged after lifting and returning it. Likewise, an up-to-one-hour feature is not a claim of indefinite hot-water availability or a measured holding-accuracy result.

Make a sensible batch

The documented fill range is 0.5–1.8 L. It supports a larger round without requiring you to fill it to the top every time. It does not support a 300 ml-only heating requirement: that is below the guide’s minimum even though the glass makes small quantities visible.

Measure your own cups or teapot and compare their total with those limits. A large maximum does not tell you a universal number of servings. The marked glass body is useful for checking the amount, and the lid removes completely rather than leaving you to fill through a small flap.

The basket goes in after heating

For normal tea preparation, remove the infuser, fill with water and return just the lid before heating. Prepare the leaves in the basket while the kettle works. Once the target is reached, carefully attach the tea-filled basket beneath the lid and lower it into the water.

You remain responsible for the steeping time. The appliance does not automatically lower or remove the basket. If you want plain hot water, leave the tea and infuser out. If you need a slow coffee-bed pour, consider an actual gooseneck instead of treating this general-serving spout as the same tool.

Useful cues without a complicated serving setup

The ring shows standby, heating and ready status, while the screen supplies the numeric heating information. The guide also provides a mute control: hold BOIL for five seconds to toggle the beeps. That changes the sounds rather than the heating sequence.

The jug lifts off a 360-degree powered base for serving, leaving the lead on the counter. This is cordless serving, not battery heating. Use the handle, leave overhead room for the lid and be careful when handling the hot basket or opening the jug near steam.

Cleaning follows the exact package

The CTI-V3 guide requires hand washing the tea infuser and says it is not dishwasher safe. Keep the kettle and base out of immersion and the dishwasher, and clean the spout filter in place. Allow cooling and unplug before any cleaning.

Rinse after tea and follow the guide’s descaling instructions as mineral deposits build. The removable lid makes access easier, but it does not make the appliance maintenance-free. Shortlist this model for the combination of a larger jug, live display, offered temperature choices and basket; verify a precise target before making that target the deciding requirement.

Chefman’s exact CTI-V3 description and its user guide, pages 8–13, support the controls and operating details.
