A useful fit for

A smaller tea batch where you want an included basket and removable lid rather than a larger jug or digital controls.

The main tradeoff

The compact maximum does not reduce its 500 ml minimum, and it offers neither temperature selection nor automatic warming.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is there a small infuser kettle for a half-liter batch?

Yes. This model has a documented 0.5–1 L fill range and an included lid-mounted tea infuser. Heat the water first, then insert the prepared basket.

Can it heat only 250 ml?

No. Its compact one-liter maximum still comes with a 500 ml minimum fill in the exact guide.

Can I keep a liter of tea warm automatically?

The one-liter capacity fits, but this model switches off after boiling and does not provide an automatic keep-warm mode.

A one-liter infuser kettle for a smaller tea round

The RJ11-10-GMRL-TI is a useful direction when a large tea kettle feels unnecessary but you still want an included loose-leaf basket. Its maximum fill is one liter, the lid removes completely, and a single switch starts boiling. The appliance’s role is straightforward: heat the water, then use the basket to steep in the same jug.

The deciding limitation is the 500 ml minimum fill. A small maximum does not mean you can heat a tiny amount for any single mug. This model also lacks temperature selection and automatic warming, so it suits a simple boil-and-steep routine rather than a temperature-managed tea station.

Start with the amount you actually make

The manual permits water between 0.5 L and 1 L. If your normal pot uses 600 ml or 800 ml, that is within the documented range. If you need only 250 ml, you should compare a different kettle with an appropriate documented minimum. Do not treat the MIN line as optional because the jug looks compact.

A one-liter maximum also means one liter is the limit, not a starting point for a larger batch. Measure your serving vessels and allow for your actual recipe. A generic cup count cannot tell you whether the kettle fills two large mugs, several small cups or your particular teapot.

The leaves go in after the water boils

The guide separates water heating from leaf contact. You remove the infuser from the lid, fill the jug, and heat with just the lid in place. While it heats, prepare the tea in the basket. Once boiling finishes and the kettle switches off, carefully attach the basket underneath the lid and insert it.

That sequence gives you control over the beginning of the steep, but it is manual control. There is no automatic basket movement or brew timer. Remove the infuser when your tea’s intended steep is complete, using care around the hot lid and steam. Leaving leaves in the jug is not the same decision as leaving plain hot water available.

Status lighting is not a temperature display

Blue lights show that heating is underway. At boiling, the lights go out and the kettle powers off. You can understand the basic cycle at a glance, but the lights do not display the current numeric water temperature or provide an adjustable endpoint.

For a recipe that requires pressing a particular below-boiling temperature, choose a kettle that actually supplies that control. The RJ11-10-GMRL-TI does not gain temperature settings because it includes a tea accessory. A separate cooling routine would remain something you manage rather than a function of the base.

Use it as a kettle when you do not need tea

The maker allows hot-water use without the tea and basket. That is useful for a household that alternates between loose tea and other drinks. The general serving spout and lift-off jug suit ordinary serving, while the power lead stays with the base.

The 360-degree base lets you orient the handle for access. It is a mains-powered heating position, not a battery charger. Once carried away, the jug is no longer being heated, and there is no automatic warming mode when it is returned.

Keep the two filters and their care separate

The infuser holds tea, while the fixed filter at the spout has a different job. The guide says to clean that spout filter in place. Do not attempt to remove it when washing the basket or assume it can replace the basket for brewing.

This exact guide permits dishwasher cleaning of the removable infuser. It does not permit putting the kettle or base in a dishwasher or immersing them. Hand clean the lid as directed, cool and unplug the appliance first, and rinse after tea. Mineral deposits still require the guide’s separate descaling process.

A practical shortlist decision

Choose this one-liter package for a 500 ml-to-one-liter boil-and-steep routine with the basket supplied. Choose a larger model when your actual batch exceeds that maximum. Choose an adjustable or warming model when those functions matter more than small-batch simplicity. That keeps the recommendation tied to how you make drinks rather than the number of features printed on a box.
